Shams is a little shop based in city of Le Havre in France. They are specialised in selling garments, perfumes, incense and more from the middle-east. For them I developed the name, the logo and the overall visual identity.
The idea was to create visuals that would combine elegance and evoke a desire for elsewhere. It was important to have constancy between the name, the logo and the concept of the shop.
In Arabic the word (شمس) Shams means sun and the first letter of shams is ش . I used that letter to create a symbol that would itself represent the sun.
Logo system
The logo is composed of 8 repetitions of the letter ش mirrored.

“A timeless design that should blend simplicity and elegance.”
The logo also creates a pattern that reminds of the middle-eastern wooden lattice.
